Program overview
The BTS in Customs and Transit at ICEDIS belongs to the Judicial Careers
track and prepares higher technicians to support foreign trade operators in the
preparation and execution of import and export operations.
Graduates master customs clearance procedures, customs regimes, current regulations
and coordination of all actors in the logistics chain (customs, freight forwarders,
carriers, banks, etc.).
Learning objectives
- Complete all preliminary formalities for import and export operations.
- Prepare quotations for import and export (costs, deadlines, routing choices).
- Draft detailed customs declarations for the various customs regimes (release for free circulation, transit, warehousing, etc.).
- Carry out customs clearance of imported and exported goods and arrange removal of goods from customs premises.
- Handle customs disputes and assist operators during inspections and controls.
- Use digital tools and computerized customs management systems.

- Organization of the Customs Administration and roles of stakeholders (customs, freight forwarders, operators).
- National and international customs regulations (codes, conventions, agreements).
Module 2: Customs procedures & customs regimes
- Pre‑import and pre‑export formalities.
- Customs regimes (release for free circulation, transit, bonded warehousing, temporary admission, etc.).
- Detailed declarations and clearance procedures for imports and exports.
Module 3: Transit, transport & logistics
- Transit operations: documentation, declaration, quotation, monitoring clearance, removal and delivery.
- International transport (road, sea, air) and selection of transport modes.
- Insurance, transport‑related risks and responsibilities of the various operators.
Module 4: Customs valuation, disputes & digital tools
- Calculation of customs value for imports and exports.
- Customs disputes: offences, penalties, appeals and dispute resolution.
- Computerized customs management systems and digital tools.
