Governance principles

The Cameroonian Institute of Diplomatic and Strategic Studies (ICEDIS) is an academic institute dedicated to teaching, research and advisory services in diplomacy, international relations and global strategy.

Its governance is based on academic excellence, transparency, accountability and collegiality, in order to ensure the quality of programs, the relevance of research and the credibility of advisory activities for public and private institutions.

ICEDIS relies in particular on a Board of Directors, an Executive Board and academic and scientific bodies bringing together diplomats, academics, experts and institutional partners.

Academic and scientific bodies

In support of the Board of Directors and the Executive Board, ICEDIS has established academic and scientific bodies to ensure the relevance and quality of teaching content and research activities.

  • A Scientific Council bringing together academics, diplomats and experts.
  • Program coordinators for key areas (diplomacy, international law, strategy, cybersecurity, etc.).
  • Pedagogical committees responsible for program monitoring, evaluation and innovation.

These bodies contribute to curriculum updates, evaluation of teaching and the development of applied research projects linked to contemporary diplomatic and strategic challenges.

Direction & Coordination

ICEDIS is led by a compact executive team handling daily management, strategy, and institutional representation.

Director General

Head of the Institute, he represents the institution, defines training programs, and chairs administrative meetings.

Head of Academic Affairs, Partnerships, and Development

Manages course/exam scheduling, student follow-up, partnerships, and develops academic programs under the supervision of the Director General.

Head of Financial and Accounting Affairs

Oversees accounting, enrollment payments, and monthly reports to the Director General, the principal authorizing officer.

Administrative meetings are confidential, drafted by the Academic Head (secretary), and published at the discretion of the Director General.
